Her Nude
Size: 18" x 24"
Medium: Mixed Media
A woman's nude is not simply a physical body. It is a space, isolated from the world, containing only her own solitude. Undressing sheds the prejudices, stereotypes, and roles imposed on her by society, revealing her lonely and vulnerable self. In the painting, she shrinks, seeking to focus on her inner voice. Through her flesh, I portray her confrontation with the world amid countless conflicts and cries, and through her shrinking nude, I express her strong will to be independent despite her loneliness. Just as a frog crouches to leap further, her solitary shrinking becomes a way to gather strength and leap confidently into the world.
