The Moment We Lose Each Other

Size: 320 x 340 x 430[H] mm
Medium: Foamcore, Wood, Colored Paper, Acrylic Paints

Human civilization has continued through our unity, and the world has developed more beautifully. However, it is deeply disheartening to define ourselves by the labels of male and female, confine each other to their roles, inflict hurt, inflict anger, and destroy each other. Gender issues have become more complex and intensely conflicted in recent years, and I have created a sculpture to express this sorrow. In the piece, a man and a woman are split in two, and within them, thorns of conflict begin to grow, driving them further apart. The door of peace, connected by a staircase behind them, gradually closes, watching the man and woman as they quarrel. In this way, the man and woman are losing each other.
